Abstract The accurate measurement of redox potentials small molecules is a relatively straightforward task using electrochemical methods such as cyclic voltammetry. However, proteins, in most cases, are not amenable to the same approach due slow heterogeneous electron transfer and possibility denaturing at electrode surface. This necessitates use molecular weight mediators facilitate transfer. leads spectroelectrochemical techniques where applied potential coupled spectroscopic signal protein. Traditionally this done different (fixed) akin an titration, but time required for equilibrium be established, its consistent application, major sources experimental error.
